Dr. Rose Bernholtz completed her Bachelor of Science Degree at Iowa State University in 1982 and went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Dr. Bernholtz began practicing veterinary medicine in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1988-1994 and went on to practice in Farmington, New Mexico from 1994-2000. She came to Mancos Valley Veterinary Hospital in 2003. She also worked as a relief veterinarian from 2000-2015.
Dr. Bernholtz and her husband Alan have three beautiful children, Alex, Elana, and Josie. They also share their home with their pet family which includes two Brittany Spaniel dogs named Rory and Louie, as well as two cats named Ash and Boo Boo.
